Spiral Shelters are undoubtedly the most popular low-cost
product for protecting single-stemmed seedlings / transplants. They have the
ability to expand with the growing tree stem and provide a sheltered environment
to enhance growth. Acorn spirals are manufactured with a generous overlap to
protect from herbicide spray and provide greater browsing protection once the
spiral begins to unwind and all spiral shelters are uniquely manufactured with a
green tint. This helps to prevent leaf scorch and significantly reduces their
visual intrusiveness.
